It described the sudden explosion of animal life as an amazing frenzy that changed the planet overnight. This event has caused scientists to re-examine their previously held traditional interpretations of life on Earth. They are now saying that this event took place within what is called a geological instant! What does this mean?
Today, the Cambrian explosion of Animal life remains one of the best held secrets. The public knows very little about this extra-ordinary event that changed our planet overnight, the question is why?

They always appear suddenly in the fossil record with all the key characteristics of a new, unique and novel body plan.
